It may not be the 2020 sport season we were planning for, but the good news is, there are still plenty of ways to keep fit and active until school, Aussie Aths and life returns to normal. Or the new normal.
We are excited to tell you about a great new event you can get involved in – either through your school or as an individual. It is called The Great Australian Cross Country Challenge and it is where the fun is right now!
The Great Australian Cross Country Challenge enables you to run, anywhere, any time that suits you, and challenge yourself against others from your school, state or Australia for a bit of extra fun and motivation. And you can have multiple turns, to keep improving on your own time. Great for those who are really missing school cross country events, and great for those who are over online fitness classes and home obstacle courses and want to get back to RUNNING!
We encourage all our Aussie Aths crew to give it a go. Kids can get involved on an individual basis, or your teachers may want to get the whole school involved to run this as the official school house cross country carnival – without the need for a large organised event.
How to get involved:
- REGISTER: Register, selecting your applicable age category.
- RUN: Run, walk, roll or stroll your way through your age division distance, using your mobile or watch to track your distance and time.
- RECORD: Visit our Results Hub to upload your results and see where you’re coming in your region, state and around Australia.
The Great Australian Cross Country Challenge is in partnership with and powered by Race Roster technology, owned by ASICS International.
Register now at https://gaccc.com.au/ and run anytime between May and August 2020.
